POSITION: Administrative Assistant

CLASSIFICATION: Part Time – 30 hours per week 

REPORTS TO: Executive Administrator and Content Director

OVERVIEW

Global Mission Awareness is a family of families that are passionate about the pursuit and expansion of the Kingdom through covenantal relationship. The role of Administrative Assistant is vital in the fulfillment of this vision as we seek to pursue a culture of family and honor through operational excellence.

The primary purpose of this role is to serve the President and the Executive Administrator with administrative and logistical support to facilitate the schedule and commitments of the President. 

*Please note that we are a purpose-driven “mission movement” that should be regarded as a passion and calling, not merely an internship. 

This team member will provide operational duties including but not limited to the following:

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Receive and direct visitors, deliveries, mail and phone calls in a courteous and professional manner
  • Assist in answering the phone and directing calls/messages to appropriate team member and responding to voicemails
  • Assist with administrative tasks as required by the Executive Administrator
  • Assist in research for books, teachings, seminars, etc (as directed)
  • Assist in developing or sourcing resources for trips, speaking engagements, etc
  • Maintain and purchase inventory of office supplies (groceries, stationery and cleaning supplies)
  • Perform regular cleaning of office space including removal of trash, cleaning restrooms and kitchen facilities
  • Assist with special projects such as product development, ministry prospects and developmental initiatives
  • Assist with global missions trips administration 
  • Any other duties within reason as determined by the Executive Administrator or President

Social Media Responsibilities

  • Work with Social Media Strategist to develop content for social media outlets including Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube
  • Assist with manual posts (to stories, videos, and swipe posts)
  • Respond to comments on social media and YouTube
  • Identify opportunities for social media growth and engagement and develop content initiatives
  • Assist with weekly filming and editing for social media and live events
  • Assist with producing LHM and GMA podcast. Responsible for podcast recording and editing
  • Identify event media opportunities with Executive Director and communicate media needs to event hosts

Product Department Responsibilities

  • Assist with project management and development of new resources including audio messages, video content and printed publications (including books)
  • Manage inventory, sales, product development and reports of product sales
  • Assist to identify marketing strategies and growth opportunities for product sales
  • Process and dispatch online orders as well as package, ship and receive all product to churches/events prior to engagements

 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Pre-requisite Qualifications

  • Committed follower of Jesus as personal Lord and Savior
  • Operational experience in a working office and team environment 
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • In-depth understanding of word processing, spreadsheets and database management
  • In-depth understanding of social media platforms including Hootsuite, Twitter, Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook, YouTube, Blubrry (Podcast editing) and Garageband (video editing) and Vimeo
  • Basic understanding of Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, InDesign and
  • Illustrator or similar design platform (i.e. Canva)

 

Desirable Qualifications

  • Formal training qualification (college degree or professional qualification)
  • Previous experience in a non-profit or ministry organization
  • Previous experience in marketing and/or business administration
  • Experience working in social media, writing, and editing
  • Experience in writing, including scriptwriting, directing and producing video series

GENERAL INFORMATION

 

Remuneration

The remuneration will be discussed with the individual applicant and will include a base hourly rate. Leave is as outlined in the GMA Staff Manual and includes paid vacation leave (based on hours) and public holiday vacation days. 

 

Probation

This role will include a 12 week probation period with a review at the end of this period. During this period, the team members suitability will be monitored and the employment may be terminated by the Executive Administrator or President if the incumbent is deemed unsuitable.

 

Review

A biyearly performance review will be held where the incumbent will be provided with feedback on their overall performance and discussion held as to opportunities for growth and development.

Internship at Global Mission Awareness

Ministry School Internship

Open Internship

Position: Ministry School Internship

Classification: Full time for School Credit

Overview:

Our internship program is vital in the fulfillment of this vision as we seek to raise up a generation of world-changers birthed out of a culture of family and honor through operational excellence.

*Please note that we are a purpose-driven “mission movement” that should be regarded as a passion and calling, not merely an internship. 

Responsibilities will be assessed to match the existing skill set of the applicant with the current needs of the organization.

Qualifications and Experience:
Essential Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Willingness to learn and be teachable

Position: Media/ Marketing Intern

Classification: Full time with 50% Support and 50% Hourly

Overview:

Global Mission Awareness is a family of families who are passionate about the pursuit and expansion of the Kingdom through covenantal relationships. Our internship program is vital in the fulfillment of this vision as we seek to raise up a generation of world-changers birthed out of a culture of family and honor through operational excellence.

The primary purpose of this role is to connect the message, ministry and testimony of GMA with various media platforms in the following areas:

*Please note that we are a purpose-driven “mission movement” that should be regarded as a passion and calling, not merely a job. 

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Utilizing our video editing software to edit weekly video posts
  • Editing Podcasts for video and our podcast feed
  • Weekly Cleaning
  • Assisting the project manager/ content director with various projects
  • Oversee product fulfillment and inventory
  • Support raising and spreading awareness of our mission here
  • Additional support for masterclass launch and book launch
  • Research into other ministries and industry tactics
  • Additional duties will be assigned as needed

Qualifications and Experience:

Duration: 6 – 12 months

Office Hours: Monday through Friday 9AM – 5PM

Reports to: Project Manager & Executive Administrator

Community Engagement 

Intern is expected to engage with a local church body and serve to ensure relational connection with the community.

Learning and Development 

Intern will be given and required to read several of Leif Hetland’s books to understand the language and culture of the organization.

  • Once a month mentorship from our founder and president, Leif Hetland.
  • Opportunity to lead one international ministry trip that GMA is currently engaged in.
  • With a close relationship with Bethel Atlanta and the Bethel Atlanta School of Supernatural Ministry, GMA will seek to provide an introduction and identify opportunities to engage with the school and church culture to maximize the experience through the year.
