After the Holy Spirit interrupted my to do list for 2016 and led me to write my TO BE LIST, I have had such clarity. As most of you know, I have been home for a month of rest and receiving. One of the important instructions from God was to clarify my vision. God said “Leif I want you to see what I see.” I thought having authored a book called ‘Seeing Through Heaven’s Eyes’ that I had already learned a lot about what God sees!
It has been said that ‘eyes that look are common, but eyes that see are rare.’ Sight is a function of the eyes, but vision is a function of the heart. The greatest gift ever given to us is not the gift of sight, but the gift of vision.
One of my favorite stories Dr. Stephen R. Covey writes about in his book The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People reads as follows:
“I remember a mini-paradigm shift I experienced one morning on a subway in New York. People were sitting quietly – some reading newspapers, some lost in thought, some resting with their eyes closed. It was a calm, peaceful scene. Then suddenly, a man and his children entered the subway. The children were so loud and rambunctious that instantly the whole climate changed. The man sat down next to me and closed his eyes, apparently oblivious to the situation. The children were yelling back and forth, throwing things, even grabbing people’s papers. It was very disturbing. And yet, the man sitting next to me did nothing. It was difficult not to feel irritated. I could not believe that he could be so insensitive as to let his children run wild like that and do nothing about it, taking no responsibility at all. It was easy to see that everyone else on the subway felt irritated, too. So finally, with what I felt was unusual patience and restraint, I turned to him and said, “Sir, your children are really disturbing a lot of people. I wonder if you couldn’t control them a little more?” The man lifted his gaze as if to come to a consciousness of the situation for the first time and said softly, “Oh, you’re right. I guess I should do something about it. We just came from the hospital where their mother died about an hour ago. I don’t know what to think, and I guess they don’t know how to handle it either.” Can you imagine what I felt at that moment? My paradigm shifted. Suddenly I saw things differently, and because I saw differently, I thought differently, I felt differently, I behaved differently. My irritation vanished. I didn’t have to worry about controlling my attitude or my behavior; my heart was filled with the man’s pain. Feelings of sympathy and compassion flowed freely. “Your wife just died? Oh, I’m so sorry! Can you tell me about it? What can I do to help?” Everything changed in an instant.”
I have had five major paradigm changes that have transformed my life. As I write this message on Martin Luther King Jr. Day 2016, I am reminded of one of these. My wife and I were privileged to visit the home of Martin Luther King Jr. in 2014 and were blessed to be hosted by Alveda King and members of the King family. I had the opportunity to share in the stories of one of my greatest heroes.
Martin Luther King Jr. was paradigm shifter. He travelled over six million miles, spoke on some 2500 occasions and challenged injustice to bring about one of the greatest paradigm shifts of the past 100 years. On the evening of April 4, 1968, he was assassinated on the balcony of his motel room in Memphis. Because of his vision, millions of lives have been transformed. Because of his conviction, purpose was restored to millions of lives through equality.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”4718″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_empty_space height=”50px”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row” css=”.vc_custom_1455601293819{padding-top: 80px !important;padding-bottom: 55px !important;background-color: #ffffff !important;}”][vc_column css=”.vc_custom_1455600374662{background-color: #ffffff !important;}”][vc_column_text]
God has placed within each one of us a vision that is uniquely designed to give meaning and purpose to life. We need to LOOK, OBSERVE and SEE.
[/vc_column_text][vc_separator][vc_row_inner css=”.vc_custom_1455600385313{background-color: #ffffff !important;}”][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″ css=”.vc_custom_1455600405079{background-color: #ffffff !important;}”][vc_column_text]
LOOK at God in any circumstance or situation in your life.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
OBSERVE what God is doing rather than what He is not doing.
What dreams has He placed inside of you? Who has He called you to become? What do you see that no one else sees?
SEE how you can be His instrument for transformation.
God has given you a unique vision. Your vision becomes your purpose. Your purpose becomes your passion.

When you start to see as God sees and begin to realize what your unique vision is, you step into the realm of purpose. We are each called to shift paradigms. We are each purposed with passion. Your vision is the key to fulfilling your life’s purpose.
I challenge you to STOP and LOOK with a fresh perspective. Choose to see YOU as Papa sees you. Choose to see the world around you as Papa sees.
Much love,
Leif

Thank you so much for this ministry…:)
I heard your testimony a few weeks ago. On that day I was thinking about a prophecy over my life spoken through a Pastor Stanley Crane from Kansas City Missouri…it was years ago…early 1980’s…what I remember most is that he said I would be a bulldozer for God’s Kingdom…I was so encouraged to hear about the prophecy you received…I felt such comfort to know that God is not done with me yet….thank you and thank you for sharing about Papas love for us…:)
2013 I met you at Global Awakening in Newport News, Va. July 2015 God has started using me to preach at a Church in Pakistan seeing many Dalvations and many Healings. This September will be my first Missionary trip there, I am so excited about what God is doing. Love Tom
Encouraging, insightful words!! I thank God for your ministry. Blessings, Sheila
